T'AI CHI CH'UAN FOR LIFE

A daily practice for life and vitality, for your long term health and well being

The Teaching- Form and Push Hands

The Form consists of 36 postures that are linked together in a slow flowing movement, practiced as a moving meditation.  The form is based on the T'ai Chi Ch'uan Classics, which have been distilled into a set of Five Basic Principles, by my teacher, Master Lo.  Each posture is upright, balanced, and contains a Yin-Yang weight distribution.  The physical and spiritual benefits of practicing the form have been demonstrated of hundreds of years of time, and are backed by modern research studies.

Push Hands is an advanced two-person exercise, sometimes known as "sensing hands",  where the participants learn to detect the center of balance of the other partner and to use the softness and relaxation learned in the form to "unbalance" the partner.

Standing meditation and Yin-Yang Walking are also part of the teaching.
